Sports fans are a special group of people. They are some of the most loyal, passionate and cutthroat individuals you will ever meet. It starts with following your favorite player. Maybe having childhood dreams of growing up and playing the game just as good as they do. Supporting a team win or lose. Braving the elements of cold, rain or heat to cheer them on. Sometimes it requires you to make a road trip into the rival’s hometown wearing your team’s colors proudly. This love includes all aspects of the game – sites, sounds, smells, touch, etc.
These characteristics are taken to another level when it is time to crown the champion. So it is the time of the year when I get a little crazy. The National Hockey League’s playoffs are reaching their peak with the final series about to start, and Lord Stanley’s cup will soon be awarded to the victors.
As a fan, the TV spot below gets me excited for the great moments to come. As a player, it makes me want to lace up the skates at take to the ice.
