Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one of the most hyped games of 2009. This release was developed by Infinity Ward. They are the same team that created Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, which won many ‘Game of the Year’ awards and is one of the best selling shooters of all-time.
With the release date quickly approaching, video game retailers are hoping to cash in on the excitement. Walmart is using their stores’ 24 hour availability to to entice gamers who want to be the first to get their hands on the game. (Much like they did for Madden 2009) Now the clip below is the extended version of the common 30 second TV spot. The trash talking between these guys is exactly what my buddies and I do. Although we are geeks wearing ear pieces and full-on headsets. Hey, go big or go home, right? However, there will be no midnight launch party for me – the working stiff. I went ahead and pre-ordered my copy from Amazon to earn $20 in credit. Gaming is expensive so you gotta save when you can.

well… if you pre-ordered Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 at Walmart.com you will not get the game until Monday the 16th, according to walmart.com customer service. I was wondering why my order stated that I would receive it on the 16th… I called them and told them they are releasing the game on the 10th. They, Walmart customer service, told me they wouldnt ship until the 13th, even though i bought next day shipping. At 14.00+ for shipping, which is more than any of the others, e.g. Best Buy, Frys, etc, one would figure they would have their ship together… I guess not. Soooo, I will not be buying anything else at Walmart.com. And hope that others that read this wont either…
huge disappointment. and, to make matters worse, gamestop broke the street date this past weekend in some areas…. wish I would have just waited and gone to another store at midnight tonight!!!
